Admissions Process

Visit

Your visit will comprise a tour, meeting our knowledgable staff plus the opportunity to view our school and spend time with our Headmistress, Mrs Savage. We hope this visit is insightful and valuable to you and your family.

Register

If you decide that Boundary Oak is the right school for you, you should complete the registration form. For pupils registering, a non-refundable registration fee of £180 is also required at this stage, payable over the phone or in person at The School Office.

Taster Days

Once the registration fee has been received, we are delighted to welcome your child back for two full, action-packed taster days, experiencing what life at Boundary Oak is like.

Boarders have the opportunity to stay for one night in between their taster days to experience the home-away-from-home experience our boarding team create.

These two days are a brilliant opportunity for your child to meet some of our teachers, make friends and become familiar with the school.

Assessments

As a selective school, we require prospective pupils from Year 1 upwards to sit English and mathematics assessments. These assessments are carried out at Boundary Oak in a relaxed, friendly and age-appropriate manner. Although they are used as a criterion for entry, they also help us plan where your child might need support or challenge when they start at Boundary Oak. Years 1-3 assessments will take place during their taster days. Years 4 and above will be invited back for their assessments after the completion of their taster days.

Decision

Once all the feedback has been collated from the assessment and our staff’s experience on the taster days, a decision will be made regarding an offer of a place, which will be formally made in writing. If you are offered a place and choose to accept, a confirmation deposit of £500 will be requested at this stage.
