We create a positive and challenging environment for our players and aim to develop leaders and decision-makers both on and off the pitch.

The EYFS and Key Stage One schemes of work focus on fundamental skills which promote physical literacy. Lessons are skills-based and develop core aspects; agility, balance & co-ordination, gymnastics, dance and swimming.
As the pupils move into Year 3, they join our games programme which is tailored to provide the right competitive experience for everyone. Across the school there is a comprehensive schedule of fixtures each week enabling the children to experience the joys of teamwork, exercise and competition. Beyond the formal structured games programme, the extensive activities programme provides opportunities for pupils to experience and enjoy different sports and develop new skills.
In the Prep and Senior school, we widen the offering to include both competitive and recreational sports. We regularly compete in rugby, football, cricket, hockey, netball, cross-country, swimming, athletics, basketball and dance – and are hugely supportive of sport at all levels. On the recreational side, pupils can enjoy the likes of Zumba, squash, individual fitness programmes, badminton, coaching and yoga; all pupils will find a pathway to enjoy sport at Boundary Oak.
Always looking to inspire and motivate our pupils as much as possible, we have a regular programme of international sports stars who not only spend time talking about their experiences but also train and coach our pupils in their sport. In addition, sports scholars attend a scholars lunch with our visitor.
We encourage our pupils to bring independence, creativity and bravery learned through sport to bear on their studies and other aspects of school life. Our house competitions run across all sports providing fantastic opportunities for developing relationships with peers and strengthening the team bond that pupils feel with their house.
We create a positive and challenging environment for our players and aim to develop leaders and decision-makers both on and off the pitch. In every training session and every game, we promote game understanding, sportsmanship, skills acquisition and enjoyment. Our pupils’ sporting experience underpins academic achievement and provides a platform from which they can explore new horizons with confidence.
Our current program has been recognised at the highest level achievable – The Quality Mark with Distinction – by the Association of Physical Education.
Boundary Oak School hold the title as the ISA National Champions for U13 Rugby. We are super proud of all of our sportsmen and women.
