Boundary Oak School U9 Athletics team comes out tops!

Boundary Oak School U9 Athletics team comes out tops!

Yesterday, a select team of Year 3 and 4 children took part in an Athletics competition at Sherfield School.  This was the first ever competition of this kind for many of the Boundary Oak team, but despite how nervous some felt, everyone participated with determination, showing true Boundary Oak spirit.

Congratulations must go to all the team, as the BOYS CAME FIRST and the GIRLS CAME SECOND, out of the 4 participating schools.  The competition was a combination of field and track events, including the ever exciting relay races.  Particularly outstanding, and deserving of special mention, were the performances by the following children:

GIRLS: long jump – won by Matilda S

BOYS: 60m race – won by Henry T

150m race – won by Elliot T, with Henry P placing second

Relay – won by the team – Henry T, William M, Henry P and Elliot T – by an impressive 50m!

High Jump – won by Henry P, with Henry M placing second

Long jump – won by Henry T

What an afternoon, with a lovely match tea to end it all! Thank you to Mr Davis and Miss Cook for taking us.
