Meet the Boarding Team
Our boarding house is located in the main school building and is the heartbeat of our school. Run by Housemistress Mrs Carol Plumpton, boarding at Boundary Oak School provides children from 7 to 16 years a warm and happy ‘home life’. It is our aim to ensure that every child is cared for and enjoys their whole school experience, both in and out of the classroom.
Our loving housemistress will look after pupils outside of the normal school day, as well as be there for them during the day should they need her. Mrs Plumpton, together with the rest of the Boarding house staff will do all they can to ensure pupils are happy, confident and have a great experience at Boundary Oak.
Mrs Carol Plumpton is Head of Boarding at Boundary Oak School. She is a passionate, loving, lively and cuddly housemother who takes care of both the boys and girls in the boarding house. Living in the main boarding house with her family means that she is accessible for the children through the day and night. She is also the school matron, and not having a teaching role within the school means that she is available whenever she is needed.
Assistant Houseparent, Mr Charlie Ekin is a popular and much loved member of the boarding staff, having been residing at Boundary Oak for 12 years. Living in the gatehouse with his wife, Jo who is the school Registrar along with his two teenage sons Will and Tom, Charlie has much experience in boarding and is well known for his gentle nature and huge heart. He also thrives in the great outdoors and nature so his duty weekends and evening activities nearly always involved welly boots, mud, campfires and woodwork in our outdoor classroom.
Assistant Houseparent and Head of Sport, Mr Joe Davis is a great asset to our boarding house. His dedication and commitment to the school and its admirable. Being Head of Sport as well as Year 6 form tutor, Joe will help the children with lots of skills like teamwork and communication as well as ensuring that they are happy and enjoy their whole school experience.
